Lewis Taylor Gibb

Artists

(1873 - 1945)

Taylor Gibb lived and worked for most of his life in Kensington, London but towards the end of his career moved his family to Mersea Island in Essex.
His panache for landscapes in oil was well recognized during his lifetime, he exibited at the Royal Academy and Paris Salon. He favoured bright colours that lend his work a striking quality that seems to fit with the aesthetic of the 1920's.
