Furneaux is a Cornish artist based in Penzance. George Hann was his grandfather and mentor, influenced also by Patrick Heron and others.
Alan Furneaux's paintings are often bold and always beautiful, his subject matter is typically the Cornish coast and contryside, though he also paints very compelling still life.
